All age groups, and for all time periods since diagnosis, reported they are in a better place emotionally since the time of diagnosis. Overall levels of happiness were reported to have increased since diagnosis across all age ranges, with the greatest percentage point increases of 16.7 reported amongst those diagnosed 3-4 years ago.

However, no current age group, or time period since diagnosis, have eliminated the effect of CD on their lives. Confidence in managing Coeliac Disease was least frequently experienced between 1-2 years since diagnosis. Levels of acceptance increased over time with the those diagnosed less than a year reporting the lowest level of acceptance at 42.9 percentage points.
